This project was conducted under the NCTIR alliance for earthquake repairs and remediation as emergency works. As such, Texco required expertise working on an active State Highway road corridor, within a strict traffic management environment.
These emergency works involved the construction of a 26-metre-long King Post Wall with 14 steel 310UC beam driven piles. Piles were drilled to depths of 8.2 meters, unanchored and backfilled. Timber lagging was installed by subcontracted carpenters.
Works employed the Track Mounted Auger (MAIT Midi Drill) and the Track Mounted Bucket Auger (Casagrande B175XP) and operators experienced in rig operation and traffic management.
