Our Projects
Texco Steel Ltd, formerly Welds Engineering Ltd, is a customer-focused, quality-driven company specialising in all forms of structural steelwork and architectural metalwork.
We have experience in all types of steel fabrication, from simple house beams to large portal structures and bridge building. As well as a dedicated stainless workshop, an expansive metalwork area and our combined office / workshop, the complex is arranged to handle any mixture of project whilst being flexible enough to be repositioned to accept any type of fabrication. Other services include machining, profile cutting, transportation of light & heavy steel, on-site welding equipment, portable generators, all-terrain scissor lift, electric scissor lift and installation including a 25 Tonne rough terrain crane with operator.
Our team of 15 staff include twelve experienced tradesman & three apprentices in its workshop team, with skills including quantity surveying and CAD drawing expertise. All our shop drawings are produced on the latest 3D modelling software, and pass through our internal quality assurance system.
We place an emphasis on staff training and currently all our tradesmen are certified to NZS 2980. Chris Roberts (Operations Manager) is a registered assessor for New Zealand Industrial training. Texco Steel Ltd also has strong relationships with numerous welding sub-contractors with additional fabrication resources should a job demand it.
We are registered as preferred contractors for Hawkins and Fletchers construction Earthquake recovery.
