Since its foundation in 1980, Texco Excavating has become an integral part of the Christchurch contracting scene. Its machines, trucks, drill rigs, allied equipment and experienced operators are all part of a team that is successful, innovative and a growing force in the Christchurch contracting industry. As an ISO 9001: 2008 certified company, quality is assured.

We specialise in excavation work from “subgrade” and below, rather than in the more general field of roading and paving. As such, we have developed expertise in dewatering, planking and strutting and excavation of basements, lift wells, sheet piling, drainage and general site development. All our work comes from repeat custom and/or by recommendation, which we believe speaks volumes for the quality of our work. Our plant is modern and well maintained and our staff are well-trained. Texco Excavating employs a permanent staff of 50 personnel including Safety Supervisor, Contracts Manager, Drilling Manager, Drilling Operations Manager, Engineering and Surveying Assistant, Construction Blaster, Registered Drainlayers and Foremen.
